About Me

ELEANOR MILFID ELLIS

Do you hate public speaking? Do the words ‘And now please welcome to the stage….’ followed by your name, send a chill down your spine, even make you feel sick? If so, you’re in good company. Gandhi and Abraham Lincoln both suffered from stage fright. Judi Dench, Andrea Bocelli, Stephen Fry and Rihanna still do. In fact, stage fright is so widespread as to be universal. As Mark Twain put it: ‘There are only two types of speakers in the world. One: the nervous and Two: Liars.’

These global figures have not succeeded by magically waking up one day without fear. They use techniques to combat it. Using a combination of breathing exercises, vocal methods and approach to text evolved over many years, I have developed a powerful way to help people overcome the fear of public speaking and therefore deliver their message effectively and with panache.

As an effective speaker you will be able to:

  • Persuade others to your point of view
  • Bring your message to a wider audience
  • Enhance your leadership skills
  • Convey just the right sentiments at a funeral or wedding and never wish again you were the one in the coffin, you can even make your jokes work!
  • Get the job, or the role in the company, play or film, that will change your life
